Ugyen Tshering is from G/Fangma, Trashigang. Graduated in 1999 with Diploma in IMS from Royal Institute of Management, Bhutan. After completion of two years Diploma, the Institute recruited him as a faculty member for the Center for Information Technology. He also attended the Training of Trainer course for Web Designing and Development (RIM) and completed his Certificate in IT Instructor course from Okinawa (Japan).

His areas of specialization includes subjects like Microsoft Office Applications, Operating System ( Windows/Linux), Database Designing, RDBMS Programming (Microsoft Visual FoxPro 5 & Microsoft Access), Programming in Pascal, Desktop Publication(DTP), Internet and e-mail, Web Design and Development (HTML, FrontPage, Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Flash, Macromedia Dreamweaver, PHP, MySQL, etc).

He is the Webmaster of the Institute. He also designs course notes  on his areas of specializations as and when required.

He lectures in IT units like MS Applications, Fundamental Programming in Pascal, Basic Database Designing & Programming, Desktop Publication, Web Designing and Development.
