The Director, faculty, trainees and other guests attended an extra-ordinary presentation by Mr.Richard Garriot (a Space Tourist) at the institute today. Mr. Garriot is also an award-winning computer game developer, and an adventure traveler. In October 2008, he launched into space boarding the Russian Soyuz rocket.
Mr. Garriot talked about how he achieved the dream of space flight, what he learned about the earth and how he was changed on this flight. He also shared with the audience how access to space will become more common for all the people of the earth sooner than most people might think.
