2021 PGDFM & PGDNL Admission

Announcement: Admission Open for PGDFM & PGDNL (self-funding) 2021 Academic Year

The Royal Institute of Management (RIM) is pleased to invite applications from individuals desiring to pursue the Post Graduate Diploma in National Law (PGDNL) and Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management (PGDFM). The admission announcement is for those whom are self-funding or are company sponsored candidates. The selected candidates will take the course at RIM along with the graduates selected through the Bhutan Civil Service Examination (BCSE) with effect from June, 2021.

  1. The criteria for admission to Post Graduate Diploma in National Law (PGDNL) is;

A candidate must have:

  1. LLB degree from recognized university.
    1. Must have scored at least 50% in Dzongkha in Class 12 final examination or obtained pass marks in Dzongkha bridging course (four months) or pass mark in Dzongkha entrance exam conducted by RIM.
    2. Number of available slots: 20 – 25
    3. Selection of the candidates will be done based on merit ranking & subject to fulfillment of other requirements.
  1. The criteria for admission to Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management (PGDFM) is;

A candidate must have:

    1. B.Com, BBA or BBM degree from recognized university
    2. Scored at least 50% marks in accounting in the specified degree
    3. Number of available slots: 30
    4. Selection of the candidates will be done based on merit ranking & subject to fulfillment of other requirements.

NOTE: The PGDFM course for private candidates will not be conducted if the required minimum number of candidates is not fulfilled.

3. Course Fee

The course fee for both the PGDNL and PGDFM are as follows:

  1. In-service candidate(s) sponsored by organizations / company – Nu.123,200/-
  2. Pre–service (self-financing) candidates – Nu. 94,380/-
  3. In addition to the course fee, individual candidate(s) are also required to pay hostel rent of Nu 500/- per month plus mess fee of Nu 2500/- per month.

  1. Time line for the application
    1. Interested candidate(s) must submit application starting March 17, 2021 to the registration unit of the RIM.
    2. Last date for application submission is May 7, 2021.
    3. Admission result declaration will be done on May 12, 2021.


      Documents to be submitted

      The application must be accompanied with the following documents. The documents must be duly attested by a competent authority:

      1. Citizenship Identity Card.
      2. Academic transcripts – Degree and Class 12.
      3. No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the head of the agency (applicable only for the in-service candidate).
