Details on PGDFM (Corporate and Private) Admission

2014 Admission Announcement for PGDNL & PGDFM Courses

The Royal Institute of Management, in pursuant to its mission of developing leaders and managers for the public, corporate and private organization is pleased to invite applications from interested and eligible candidates from government, corporate and private sector for the Post Graduate Diploma in National Law (PGDNL) and Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management (PGDFM). The selected government, corporate and private candidates will undergo the courses at RIM along with the civil service selected graduates with effect from February to December, 2014.

The eligibility criteria for the admission in the PGDNL and PGDFM are given below under respective courses.

1.    Post Graduate Diploma in National Law (PGDNL)

A candidate must have:

  1. LLB degree from recognized university;
  2. Scored at least 40% in Dzongkha in Class 12 and who have scored less than 50% in Dzongkha in class 12 must undergo 1 month pre-requisite Dzongkha Language course at RIM which will start from 1st January, 2014 to 30th January, 2014. The fees for pre-requisite Dzongkha Language course is Nu.4000/-.

Number of available slots: 25

Selection of the candidates will be done based on merit ranking of academic marks (degree) for this category of candidates subject to fulfillment of other requirement.

2.    Post graduate Diploma in Financial Management (PGDFM)

A candidate must have:

  1.  B.Com, BBA or BBM degree from recognized university
  2.  Scored at least 50% marks in accounting in the specified degree

Number of available slots: 30

Selection of the candidates will be done based on merit ranking of academic marks for this category of candidates subject to fulfillment of other requirement.

Course Fee

The course fee for both the PGDNL and PGDFM are Nu.1, 12,000/-(Ngultrum One Hundred twelve Thousand) only.

Deadline for the application :

Interested candidates must apply to the registration unit of the RIM latest by 20th  December, 2013.

Documents to be submitted

The application must be accompanied by the following document which must be duly attested by a competent authority.

  1.  Citizenship Identity Card
  2. Academic transcripts – degree and class 12
  3.  No objection Certificate from the head of the agency (applicable only for the in-service candidate)

2013 Invitation of Application for Admission to Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management (PGDFM) (for employment in Corporate & Private sector and self-employment)

Admission available for 40 candidates only

The Royal Institute of Management, in pursuant to its mission of developing leaders and managers for the public, corporate, and private organizations, is pleased to announce the launching of Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management (PGDFM) for employment in Corporate & Private sector and for self-employment. Applications are invited from interested and eligible candidates to undergo the Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management (PGDFM).

The selected candidates will undergo the courses in the institute with effect from February to December, 2013.

Applications are invited from in-service candidates, pre-service candidates and interested individuals from the Corporate and Private Sectors.

Eligibility criteria:

A candidate must have:

  1. B.Com, BBA or BBM degree from a recognized university.
  2. Must have scored at least 50% average when all accounting subjects are combined and also must have scored minimum pass mark in all accounting subjects in the specified degree.
  3. Selection of the candidates will be done on merit ranking criterion based on academic marks.

Course Fee

(i) Candidate(s) sponsored by Company / Organization – Nu.100,000/-

(ii) Self-sponsored individual candidate (s) – Nu.50,000/-

Stipend

The Ministry of Labour & Human Resources will provide Nu 1,500/- per month as stipend during the period of training to all the selected candidates.

Dateline for Application

Interested candidates must apply to the Registration Unit of RIM latest by December 21, 2012. No application will be accepted after the dateline. Please indicate in your application as – Application for Admission to PGDFM (CP)

Admission Offer Declaration (selection result)

Admission offer result will be declared on December 31, 2012.

Documents to be submitted

The application must accompany the following documents. All documents must be duly attested by a competent authority:

  1. Citizenship Identity Card
  2. Academic transcripts – Degree and Standard 12 only.
  3. If already employed, Nomination Letter or No Objection Certificate from the Head of the Company / Organization to undergo the course.
  4. Security Clearance
  5. A candidate selected for admission offer is required to produce original certificates for verification. The selected candidate(s) will be contacted by the Registration Unit, RIM.

Admission Offer Criterion

  1. A candidate selected to the course will be made an offer for admission. Upon receiving the Offer for Admission, the candidate must endorse the acceptance with an undertaking as prescribed in the registration form of RIM.
  2. In-case a candidate selected for Offer of Admission voluntarily rejects the admission offer or a candidate(s) is not able to fulfill the selection criteria, then the admission offer will be given to the next candidate in line.

  • To develop proactive managers with managerial and decision making capability and technical competency.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

To develop knowledge and skills to:

  • Be able to constructively analyse and present financial information
  • Manage and assist the management in financial related works
  • Plan and manage auditing activities
