Communication Unit (CU)
Background
The Institute perceives the external forces of change
in its immediate environment and envisages the need to
constantly communicate with its environment. Good publicity
management and the concern for establishing credibility
and institutional image have been the basic principles
for creating the Communication Unit in 2003.
Objectives
-
To manage all communication functions
of the Institute (such as creation of public awareness
about the roles and activities of the Institute; dissemination
of relevant information to its stakeholders and clients;
production of updated course brochures, profile, advertisement
texts and other similar information materials).

To maintain a constructive relationship
with its stakeholders and establish a systematic feedback
mechanism, which would be evaluated and monitored and
provided to the Management for necessary action.
Tasks
-
Design, produce/reproduce information
on the Institute’s programmes and activities,
-
Disseminate publicity-related information,
-
Publish RIM newsletter and other
management education articles and papers,
-
Produce audio-visual materials related
to management that may be broadcast for wider viewer-ship.

Organize and co ordinate events and
promotional activities that would foster the credibility
and image of the Institute.

Conduct periodic surveys to gauge
the perceptions of the stakeholders that may have bearing
and influence on the Institute’s role/activities
and solicit necessary feedback.
