Chhewang Rinzin hails from Kurtey, Lhuntse. Graduated in 1985 with a B.com (Hons) degree from Delhi University. After having selected in the Officer?s cadre of the civil service in 1986, he joined Royal Audit Authority. In April 1996, Chhewang Rinzin was transferred to the Royal Institute of Management as a lecturer. He has a Masters in Management (MM) degree from the AIM, Manila, Philippines.

He has wide experience in Finance and Audit. He has special interest in research in Sustainable Development and Environmental Management in the mountainous ecosystem. He lectures in Finance, Auditing, and Sustainable Development Management.

Currently, he is the Head of the Center for Private Sector Development.
