Kesang Dechen is from Bumthang. She graduated in 1995 from Jesus & Mary College, Delhi with Sociology Honours. She also underwent Post Graduate Certificate in Education at NIE, Samtse in 1998. She completed her Masters in Information and Library Studies (MILS) from Dalhousie University, Halifax Canada.

Currently she is the Head of the Institute’s Library Services. Apart from looking after the affairs of the Library, she offers lectures in Management Communication to the various courses. She is also the NFP-SDC Coordinator for the SAARC Documentation Center, New Delhi.
