Kuenga Jurmi, born in 1970 hails from Refe, Trongsa. Graduated in 1995 with Bachelors degree in Economics (Hons) from Sherubtse College, Delhi University. In 1996 he joined Royal Institute of Management as a faculty trainee and underwent Diploma in Information Management System. He has Masters degree in Information Technology (MIT) from the University of Canberra, Australia.

His areas of specialization include (a). Technical skill like Windows MS, Internet/WEB, and SQL 7.0 & CASE tools for SAD (b). Primary skills like IT/IS Management, Training and Users support, DBMS Software tools (c) and TCP/IP, Internet/Intranet, LAN/WAN technology, basic programming skills in J++ and VB, good knowledge on SQL, System Analysis & Design. He has good experience in designing and directing demand driven courses, conducting workshops/seminars, Project Evaluation in IT related fields.

He lectures in MS packages, basic programming in J++, management of information system, Internet/Intranet/Extranet and system analysis and design. He is also certified Cisco Instructor for CCNA Programs.

Currently, he is the Head of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT). As a Head he is involved in the overall management of department’s day to day administration, development and planning, monitoring and evaluation, coordination, public relations and liaison.
