Luengten Dem is from Shengana, Punakha. She holds a degree in Master in Professional Accounting (MPA- 2002) from Edith Cowan University, Western Australia and her undergraduate degree is B.Com (Hons) from Sherubste College, Kanglung.

Her areas of studies include Management Accounting and Financial accounting.

She lectures in Commercial Accounting, Management Accounting and Effective communication.

Currently, she is one of the faculty members in the Center for Financial Management (CFM).
