Namgay Den is from Shenga jashikha, Punakha. she holds a Bachelors degree in Commerce Hons (Dec. 2005) from Sherubtse college, Kanglung , Post graduate Diplomas in Financial Management (PGDFM-DEC 2007) for Royal Institute of management, Semtokha and she is presently undergoing the Graduate Certificate in Higher Education in Distance Education mode from the University of New England, Australia.

She is a  faculty member of the Department of Business and Finance.
