Pema Wangdi hails from Chalee, Mongar. Graduated from Sherubtse College with Bachelors Degree in Commerce (Hons.) in 1995. He joined the Royal Institute of Management in July 1996 after having selected for Officer’s Cadre in the Civil Service. He has undergone five months administrative management course offered by RIM for the RCSC selected graduates. He holds postgraduate degree in Masters in Business Management (MBM) from the AIM, Manila, Philippines.

He lectures on Corporate Finance and Management Accounting, Commercial Accounting and Computerized Accounting (TALLY and BAS) at all levels. His other areas of specialization include Cost Accounting, management of Banking Institutions and Government Accounting. He also has adequate knowledge in the areas of Project Finance and Enterprise Development. He offers demand-driven and tailor-made courses in the areas of Finance and Accounts. He takes up research and consulting services in his areas of interests.

He is one of the core faculty members engaged in developing an MBA (Finance) program in the Institute.

Besides his academic qualification, he had attended one-month course on computerized instructional materials development offered by Colombo Plan Staff College in Manila, Philippines in 1997, Planning and Administering Good Governance at Asian Institute of Technology at Bangkok, Thailand in 2002 and several in-house courses on Teaching Case Studies and Research Methodologies offered by renowned professors from abroad.

Currently, he is the Head of the Department of Finance and Business engaged in overall administration of the Department.
