Phuntsho Wangmo is from Trashi Yangtse. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics (2006) from Pune Univesity, India and a Masters of science degree in Economics (2009) from the University of Taxes at El Paso, USA.

Currently, she is one of the faculty member in the Department of Finace & Business. She teaches Economics, Business mathematics, Quantitative methods &techniques and Public finance."
