Phurba.
Born in 1976 is from Wangduephodrang. He is a faculty
member of Department of Information and Communication
Technology at the Royal Institute of Management. He
completed the Diploma in IMS (1st Batch), a two-year
course conducted in the same Institute in the year
1996 – 1998. After Completion the Royal Institute
of Management in collaboration with the Royal Civil
Service Commission recruited him as a faculty member
of the Information Management Programme.
He also holds a Diploma
in Information Technology (software development) a
2 year course, from Canberra Institute of Technology,
Canberra, Australia.
He has conducted and coordinated
several short term Information Technology courses.
He had developed and implemented a payroll package
for the Institute. He has also designed course notes
for several IT subjects. He is engage in designing
and delivery of IT Training courses and workshops.
He had taught in IT subjects like Microsoft Office
2003 products, Database Programming, Microsoft Visual
FoxPro 5, Microsoft Visual Basic 6, Programming in
C++, Internet and e-mail basics, Web Design and Development,
Microsoft SQL Server 7.0. He has also the knowledge
in subjects like Pascal, Algorithms, Delphi, Java
Script/VB Script, Perl CGI.
He has coordinated the one-month
operator level training course and several ad-hoc
courses for several times. He is also the course coordinator
for one batch for the two years diploma in information
management systems.
He is specialized mostly in programming
subjects and wants to be a specialist in software
development.
At present he is one of the main
core faculty member for the IT Diploma and other short
