Rinzin Dem is from Kilikhar, Mongar. She holds a Bachelors degree in Economics Hons (1996) from Sherubtshe College, Kanglung, Post Graduate Certificate in Educaiton (PGCE 1998) from NIE, Samtse and Masters in Economics of Development (ECDV 2004) from the National Center for Development Studies at the Australian National University, Canberra.

Presently she is one of the faculty members in the Center for Private Sector Development (CPSD). She teaches subjects like Business Statistics, Management Statistics, Business Mathematics, Economics and Quantitative Techniques.
