Ugyen Tshering is from G/Fangma, Trashigang. Graduated in 1999 with Diploma in IMS from Royal Institute of Management, Bhutan. After completion of two years Diploma, the Institute recruited him as a faculty member for Center for Information Technology. He also attended the Training of Trainer for Web Designing and Development (RIM) and Certificate in IT Instructor from Okinawa (Japan)

He have developed and implemented a web page for the Institute, he also design course notes as and when required . His areas of specialization includes subjects like Microsoft Office Applications, Operating System ( Windows/Linux), Database Designing, RDBMS Programming (Microsoft Visual FoxPro 5 & Microsoft Access), Programming in Pascal, Desktop Publication(DTP), Internet and e-mail, Web Design and Development (HTML, FrontPage, Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Flash, Macromedia Dreamweaver, PHP, MySQL, etc). He lectures in IT units like MS Applications, Fundamental Programming in Pascal, Basic Database Designing & Programming, Desktop Publication, Web Designing and Development.

At present he is one of the faculty members of Department of Information & communication Technology, Asstt. IT Coodinator of Communication Unit and Webmaster of RIM.
