Palmo is from Mongar. She holds a Bachelors degree in Information Technology (2004) from Sherubtse College, Kanglung. She joined the Royal Institute of Management in 2005.

Palmo is a Cisco Certified Networking Academy instructor and is responsible for the related activities and programs undertaken by the Institute and the Department of Information Technology (DIT) as one of the Cisco Networking Academy in the country. She also teaches programming languages like C++, IT fundamentals and programming fundamentals.

Presently, she is one of the faculty members of Department of Information & Communication Technology.
