The PGDA program at the Royal Institute of Management (RIM) offers a direct pathway to becoming a Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) and contributing to the professionalization of accounting in Bhutan.
Program Overview
Eligibility:
Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in:
– Commerce (B. Com)
– Business Administration (BBA)
– Business Management (BBM)
– Or another business-related field
Curriculum:
The PGDA features an industry-aligned curriculum delivered by experienced faculty. It prepares students for:
– CPA certification
– Master in Professional Accounting (MPA)
– Careers in accounting and finance
Program Details:
– Duration: 10 months
– Student Intake: Maximum of 45 students
– Tuition Fee: Nu. 86,940 (payable in two installments)
Important Dates:
- Application Deadline: May 15, 2026 (5:00 PM)
- Term I Fee Due: May 30, 2026
- Foundation / Bridging Program (for candidates with no accounting background): June 1–5, 2026
- Orientation: June 8, 2026
- Program Commences: June 9, 2026
Application & Selection:
– Deadline: May 15, 2026, by 5 PM
– Selection Results: Announced within one week of the deadline
Accommodation:
Boarding facilities are available for interested candidates. Hostel and mess charges apply and are payable term-wise.
