About Ugyen Lhendup
Meet Ugyen Lhendup- a Results-focused capacity builder who turns policies and projects into impacts and Leaders into change-makers. For over 18 years he served into various capacities of transformation impacts, particularly through capacity building. As a transformative Results oriented strategist and senior policy and project management expertise in governance, development, performance coaching, EQ and public service (customer excellence) innovation. As the head of the Centre of Leadership Development (CLD) at the Royal Institute of Management, he has designed, led and facilitated more than 70 national and customized training programmes impacting over 3000 civil servants, corporate, private and local government, and emerging leaders. His expertise spans Strategic and Policy Analysis, Results-Based Management (RBM), Social-Emotional intelligence, Design Thinking, performance coaching with consulting engagements supported by Royal Civil Service Commission, corporate, private and global partners such as the WHO, UNICEF, EU and Terrific Mentors International.
Ugyen’s career is marked by a dep commitment to systemic and value-oriented change. He has contributed to over 30 national research papers and evidence-based policy reports while serving as Sr. Researcher on special deputation at Royal Research and Advisory Council (RRAC), submitted to His Majesty’s Secretariat. He also served as Market Researcher with Tashi Commercial Cooperation in launching the new brands of beer in Bhutan (2006), Founding Public Officer for Australian Bhutanese Association in Canberra (ABAC) in 2011-2012, First Coordinator with Loden Foundation in 2007. He is spiritually and community oriented by nature. His work has shaped the mindsets of Bhutan’s emerging leaders, built stronger public service institutions, and empowered grassroots governance and community building and network.
