1. About the Program
The Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting (PGDA) is a Level 7 qualification under the Bhutan Qualification Framework (BQF), designed to meet the growing demand for skilled accounting professionals in Bhutan and beyond. This 120-credit point program is tailored for graduates with a background in Commerce (B.Com) or Business Administration (BBA), equipping them with advanced knowledge and practical expertise in accounting and financial management. The program emphasizes international financial accounting practices while integrating Bhutanese Accounting Standards (BAS) to address the unique needs of Bhutan’s private and public sectors. 2. Program Duration and Structure
The PGDA is a 9-month full-time program, delivered in an intensive mode over three terms:
- Terms 1 and 2: Campus-based learning, including 4o hours of teaching, assessments, and evaluations.
- Term 3: Industry placement, providing hands-on experience equivalent to 20 credit points.

3. Admission Requirements
Admission to the PGDA is governed by the Royal Institute of Management (RIM) Admission Policy. Applicants must meet the following criteria:
Hold a bachelor’s degree in business or commerce with a focus on accounting studies. Bachelor’s degree in:
- Commerce (B. Com)
- Business Administration (BBA)
- Business Management (BBM)
- Or another business-related field
