About Kuenga Norbu

Kuenga Norbu holds a B.A. in Political Science and Sociology (Distinction) from the Royal University of Bhutan (2018-2021) and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Public Administration (PGDPA) with Distinction from RIM (2022-2023). He is currently an Assistant Research Officer in the Civil Service (Jan 2023 – Present), focusing on research and advisory roles. He also serves as a consultant lecturer in research methodologies and Design Thinking.
His research experience includes roles at the Centre of Innovative Teaching and Learning, Royal Thimphu College (Nov 2021 – Jan 2022), UNESCO GEM (Mar 2021 – May 2021), and the Economic and Social Research Council (Dec 2019 – Feb 2020). His work has contributed to studies on education and inclusive employment in Bhutan.
Kuenga specializes in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, data analysis, and policy analysis. He has authored publications such as “Pedagogical Content Knowledge in Higher Education in Bhutan” (2022) and “Youth Perceptions and Expectations Regarding Employment” (2021).
He has received multiple awards, including His Majesty’s Award for Academic Excellence, and has consistently excelled academically. His research interests include policy areas like agriculture, climate, education, and socioeconomics.
