About Sangay Chophel

Sangay Chophel is an experienced educator and scholar specializing in Indian and Tibetan Buddhist philosophy. He holds a Master’s degree from the Central University of Tibetan Studies, Varanasi. He has served as a lecturer at the Royal Institute of Management—Bhutan’s premier management training institute—where he taught courses for the Post Graduate Diploma in National Law (PGDNL), Empathetic Skills Training, and foundational in-service training programs.

He brings demonstrated expertise in teaching Buddhist philosophy, Tibetan language, and related subjects at both college and institutional levels, with additional experience in curriculum development and academic journal editing. Fluent in six languages—Sanskrit, English, Dzongkha, Tibetan, Hindi, and Sharchop—he is also proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
