Launch of CPA Program Contact Centre at Royal Institute of Management

It is with pleasure that the Royal Institute of Management (RIM) would like to inform the general public that the CPA Program Contact Centre is established at the Institute. The enrollment to the program will begin from October, 2018 and the courses will begin from February, 2019.

The launching of the CPA Program Contact Centre is a big move in RIM’s endeavor to achieve its mandate as enshrined in its Royal Charter of the Royal Institute of Management (1990). One of the key objectives of RIM is to develop and provide continuing education for the middle and senior level personnel’s with a focus on professional training. The CPA Program Contact Centre syncs well with the objective.

The journey towards the establishment of the CPA Program Contact Centre was initiated by the RIM Board of Directors during the 66th Board meeting.

CPA Australia is one of the world’s largest accounting bodies with a global membership of more than 160,000 members working in 118 countries around the world, with more than 25,000 members working in senior leadership positions.

CPA’s core services to members include education, training, technical support and advocacy. Employees and members work together with local and international bodies to represent the views and concerns of the profession to governments, regulators, industries, academia and the general public

Being a CPA is a mark of high professional competence. It indicates soundness in depth, breadth and quality of accountancy knowledge.

CPAs are widely regarded by employers and members. It provides members with an internationally recognized qualification as well as the opportunity to complete specialist training and continuing professional development (CPD).

The CPA Program Contact Centre is to address some of the major issues concerning the shortage of professional accountants and accountancy firms in Bhutan. It is also with the view that it will generate employment for the youths taking up accounting and auditing professions.

The CPA program will be offered at a 50% concession rate for the first three years. Also the fee for membership assessment is waived off.

Tutorial and academic support will be provided by RIM faculties and CPA Australia professionals at RIM campus.
