Yeshey is from Bumpailog, Sephu, Wangduephodrang. He graduated in 1996 with a Certificate in Mechanical Engineering with a distinction from the erstwhile Royal Technical Institute, Kharbandi, Phuentsholing.

He attended the training program on information technology for information management conducted by the National Institute of Science Communication and Information Resources (NISCAIR), New Delhi in August, 2003.

He also successfully completed a certificate course in Web Designing in 2005. In 2007, he also attended the training on Desktop Publication course from Sunrise Training Institute, Pune.

He has been serving the Institute for the past 14years and he is currently the Desktop, Publication Asst. and Audio Visual Asst. under the Department of Research and Consultancy.

He was also one of the staff members who received the Royal Civil Service Award during the 106th National Day. He was awarded a Bronze Medal for his 10 or more years of dedicated service to the tsa-wa-sum.
