Research in the Institute has witnessed a resurgence of interest. There has been a concerted effort to redevelop the shape and profile of the research in the Institute. Research is crucial for the academic of the Institute. As a result, research vision, mission and values have been developed.

2015 Update
Prof. Venard is a professor of Strategy at Audencia Nantes School of Management, France (a leading Business School in Europe). He has been a Visiting Professor at Oxford University, Wharton Business School, IESE, and Cambridge University.
Prof. Venard visited RIM in April and June 2015 to work with a team of researchers at RIM on improving Business Framework in Bhutan. This research project is one of the strategies of RIM to develop high academic research culture of reputed international standards. Accordingly Prof. Venard is the Scientific Director of RIM Research Project about Business Environment in Bhutan that includes field research from April to December 2015. Thus in the coming months Prof. Venard and RIM researcher Ms. Sonam Choiden will be conducting interviews with private entrepreneurs and public officials of Bhutan.
