The Royal Institute of Management started offering Master of Public Administration (MPA) and Master of Management (MM) since February 2012 and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from beginning of February 2014. The MBA course was launched by His Majesty the Druk Gyalpo on the 26th August, 2013 coinciding with its 17th convocation. This year in place of MM and MPA, RIM will be offering MBM (Specialization in Executive Leadership and Public Administration) courses. All the Degree Certificates/Testamurs will be awarded by the University of Canberra, Australia. The classes for MBA and MBM will commence from March in the RIM campus at Simtokha. The quality and standards of the MBA and MBM courses delivered will be the same as offered in UC campus in Australia. There is also provision for the candidates to take part in the “exchange program” at the UC campus in Australia.

The Master of Business Administration offers individuals aspiring to senior management and executive roles the opportunity to develop skills and competencies relevant to the effective management of enterprises. The course covers all aspects of management, including managing people, accounting and finance, economics, information and decision making.The MBA emphasizes development of skills required to succeed in increasingly complex business environments such as international trade or public administration working across legal, industry or cultural boundaries. - Masters of Business Management (Specializations in Executive Leadership and Public Administration)
The Masters of Business Management (MBM ) will offer students an integrated experience of management principles including the management of employees, finance and information.It is a course work degree of four semester of full time study or eight semesters of part time study. The course is designed to provide managers, and those who will become managers, with the necessary skills to be effective in the changing context of work, organizations and business. The initial foundation unit to be completed addresses business communication in the domestic, international and legal context. This will provide students with a good basis from which to build. It will also build cohort rapport to enable and encourage peer networking. The nine core units, covering the major fields of management, will provide students with a strong base of business knowledge.
Students can choose a specialization: Executive Leadership and Public Administration. Achieving a specialization will enable students to choose to receive an award that encapsulates the topic they have selected.
